Modelling and Optimization in the Machines Building Field (MOCM) is a quarterly journal edited and printed by the Editorial Office of the Department of Academic Research from the Engineering Faculty - University of Bacau. It contains the most recent theoretical and experimental studies concerning the topical and perspective problems in the conception and manufacturing fields of the technological plants and equipments. The work is edited under the aegis of the Romanian Technical Sciences Academy and University of Bacau, the Committee of Scientific reviewers and coordinating editors including an impressive scientific staff from the departments of specialty of the Romanian and other European Universities.

MOCM publishes refereed articles from the fields of conception and manufacturing fields of the technological plants and equipments, focusing but not limiting on:

The papers published in the journal are indexed and abstracted in two International Data Bases: Viniti (Russia), ProQuest (CSA - USA). The journal is also formally recognized by the Romanian Ministry of Education and Research, through its National University Research Council (CNCSIS), as a B+ type publication (second to ISI indexed journals).
